Call for papers
The call for papers is closed.
We welcome contributions from teachers as well as scientists, teacher educators, trainers and policy makers. We hope for a varied programme with contributions from different CLIL contexts in which the Dutch language plays a role as home language, first school language or as CLIL target language.
CLIL and CLIL didactics can be approached from the perspective of language acquisition (Communication), but also from other perspectives, e.g. subject- or topic-specific questions (Content), stimulation of thinking processes (Cognition), issues of diversity, culture, intercultural communicative competence and world citizenship (Culture), or other relevant perspectives.
Contributions
Contributions can be offered in the following forms:
Presentation of research (20 minutes + questions)
Presentation of good practice (20 minutes + questions)
Practical workshop (60 minutes)
Research idea or question (3-minute pitch + reactions)
Poster or other multimedia presentation (short pitch + questions)
Language of contributions is Dutch, English or French. Sample material may of course be in other languages.
Cross-pollination
To encourage cross-fertilisation between practice and science, we ask
when presenting research:
to have a clear focus in the presentation on implications for practice,
to pose a question(s) to practice at the end of the presentation.
for good practice and workshop:
to ask a question to science following the workshop/presentation.
