1) Criteria for scientific (research) presentations
Abstracts should address:
- Context in which research was carried out
- Methodological approach
- Findings in brief
- Relevance for practice:
o Clear focus on implications for practice
o Poses question for practice
2) Criteria for good practice presentations
Abstracts should address:
- Context from which good practice was carried out
- Brief summary of what the good practice involves
- Why this is a good / original practice
- Why it is relevant for the audience? Learning points / relevance for others
- Link with science: poses a question to science
3) Criteria for practical workshops
Abstracts should address:
- What is the workshop about?
- Who would benefit from participating in the workshop?
- Roughly how will the workshop be approached?
- How will you activate the audience?
- Why is it relevant for the audience? What can participants expect to learn or gain from the workshop?
- Link with science: pose a question to science
4) Criteria for pitches: research ideas or questions
Abstracts should address:
- Context from which the idea or question has risen
- Why this is a relevant idea or question
- Call to action: conclude your pitch with a clear call to action, outlining how the audience can engage further (e.g. contact details, potential steps for collaboration, invitations for brainstorming sessions or visits etc.)
5) Criteria for posters or multimedia presentations
Abstracts should address:
- Context in which research or good practice was carried out
- Methodological approach or brief summary of what the good practice involves
- Findings in brief, or explanation: why is this a good practice?
- If research-led, relevance for practice:
o Clear focus on implications for practice
o Pose a question for practice
- If practice-led, link with science:
o Pose a question to science
